Takaku Jinja Shrine

Takaku Jinja Shrine has overseas lineage going back to Goguryeo (an ancient Korean kingdom).
The shrine stands on the foot of Komayama Mountain, and it is well known for its “Yama Mikoshi” event, in which people carry a mikoshi palanquin up Komayama Mountain, and for the “Ofune Matsuri (festival)” that takes place by the sea in summer.
From the precincts of the shrine start a hiking trail ascending Komayama Mountain and going to Shonandaira.
