Noge Ōtsuka Tomb Mound

A large tomb mound built in the early 5th century.
It is located in Tamagawa Noge-cho Park at an altitude of about 30 to 33 meters above the Musashinodai ground. The existence of this tomb mound seems to have been known since the late Edo period, and it was called "Higashi Otsuka" at that time.
The most notable feature of this tomb mound is that it is a scallop-shaped tomb when viewed from above. It is said to be the largest among similar tomb mounds, measuring 82m in length, 66m in diameter and 11m in height.
From the 1st main body in the center, extremely rare and valuable burial items such as the oldest steel armor and stone products in the Kanto region have been unearthed, and have been considered as important materials for learning the political and social background at that time.
