Oshima Island (Geiyo Fortress Remains)

On Oshima Island with a circumference of 4 kilometers in the Kurushima Strait, there are the remains of a fortress constructed by the Imperial Japanese Army to prepare for a battle with the Russian Army (which was expected to break out around 1900) in the wake of the Sino-Japanese War.
At the time, a vast amount of the national budget and time was spent on the construction.
This is the only fortress of which sites of the gun mounts, barracks, control tower, and ammunition chamber in those days remains almost intact.
