Joyama Park
These castle ruins from Japan's Warring States period are situated on a hill 60 meters above sea level.
It was said to be an "impregnable mountain fortress" that withstood two fierce battles, which was rare in Japan.
The location where the main section of the castle originally used to be is now a park, and there is a clock tower that offers a panoramic view of the town center.
Cherry trees are planted there, making it a popular spot for cherry blossom viewing in the spring, and it is also a place of rest and relaxation for town residents.
