Shiomi Park Observatory

An observatory overlooking the Hakucho Bridge from a hill above Itanki Beach.
You can look over the Nippon Steel Muroran Works factories, symbolic of "Iron Town Muroran," and the rows of houses and shops that make up the townscape of Wanishi in front of it.
This scenic nightspot, 'Charcoal Iron Port', has been selected as a Japanese Heritage Cultural Property.
In the factory that operates 24 hours a day, there are safety lights placed to protect the workers, and you can feel the breath of the Iron Town as steam blows from the chimney.
Also, the sun sets over the Hakucho Bridge from spring to autumn, making it a perfect sunset spot.
