Isahaya Megane-bashi (in Isahaya Park)

The Isahaya Megane-bashi was built to be an “indestructible” stone bridge over the Honmyo River in 1839 by the lords and feudal lords of the time.
It was moved to the present Isahaya park after the Isahaya flood.
It is one of the largest double-arch bridges in Japan, and said to be one of the most beautiful, it was the first stone bridge to be designated as a National Important Cultural Property.
