Tendo Park
The Maizurusan mountain area is a familiar sight right in the center of Tendo, and it has come to be a symbol of the city.
The entire area has been turned into a public park, and the peak of the mountain has a scenic sightseeing spot that offers sweeping views of Mt. Gassan, the Asahi Mountain Range, Mogami River, and more.
Maizurusan is also a popular spot for cherry blossoms as well, and the weekends in mid April feature the "Tendo Cherry Blossom Festival" with "Human Shogi", which takes place surrounded by close to 2,000 cherry blossom trees.
