Kashihara City Museum of Insects
See, hear, touch, and feel insects! This is a natural history museum that can be enjoyed by both children and adults.
With over 1,000 insect specimens and fossils, as well as ecological exhibits of insects from Japan and abroad, visitors can learn about the basics of insects, their ecology in nature, and the relationship of insects and humans.
You can have fun while learning in the butterfly greenhouse, where the tree nymph butterfly native to Okinawa is fluttering year-round amidst the tropical and subtropical plants.
