Ogose Plum Grove

The Ogose Plum Grove is one of the 3 largest plum groves in the Kanto region.
The roughly 2ha grove is home to around 1,000 trees, including an ancient tree planted more than 650 years ago, Shirokaga plums, wild plums native to Ogose, and plum trees with red blossoms.
The plum blossom festival is held between mid-February and late-March, and the mini steam locomotive that runs through the grove is super popular with children.

Transportation: Car: Head towards Ogose by car on the Kan-Etsu Expressway "Tsurugashima IC"; 35 minutes
Train: From "Ogose Station" on the JR Hachiko & Tobu Ogose Line, take the Kawagoe Tourist Bus heading towards Kuroyama and alight at "Umebayashi Iriguchi" bus station, then walk for 5 minutes.

Charge: Admission fee 300 yen (free for elementary school students and younger)

Parking: Parking lot about 500 cars
*Fees charged during the Plum blossom Festival (500 yen for cars, 1,000 yen for minibus, 1,500 yen for motorcoach)
