Uda Matsuyama Castle

A mountain castle that sits on the mountain summit 473m above sea level, built by Mr. Akiyama, who was one of the “three generals of Uda” in the Middle Ages.
From the latter half of the 16th century through the first half of the 17th century, the feudal lords of the Toyotomi and Tokugawa houses were lords of the castle.
Recent excavations have made areas such as the castle tower enclosure and the main enclosure public.
This casual hiking and mountain climbing course allows you to reach the summit in about 20 minutes from Michi no Eki Roadside Station Ouda, and you can enjoy the picturesque scenery of the townscape from the summit.
