Kuchinotsu Museum of History and Folklore
The museum exhibits many materials showing the history of the sea and the port of Kuchinotsu.
Christianity was introduced about 450 years ago through Kuchinotsu Port, which later on prospered as a world trading port and a town that bustled with the most sailors in Japan.
※The museum was relocated to the new Kuchinotsu Port Terminal Building on March 20, 2020.
The old museum is now a branch of the Kuchinotsu Museum of History and Folklore, and you may still find some items on display there.
