Mikobata Ore Processing Site Ruins

The remains of the largest mineral processing plant in the Orient.
In the Taisho era (1912-1926), the mine became a refinery for the Akenobu Mine, the largest of its kind in Japan, which was located across the mountain from the Ikuno Mine and was the largest of its kind in the Orient at its peak.
Today, only some of the basic facilities still exist, but the magnificent scale of the mine is truly overwhelming.
