Bunsui Ryokan Museum
This history museum traces the footsteps of Ryokan, a Zen monk known for his love of nature, people, and art.
Ryokan spent the latter part of his life at Mt. Kugami in Tsubame, and since then he has gone on to catch the interest of many different people today with his immense love of humanity and large number of incredibly artistic poems and books.
The museum showcases remnants from his time at "Gogoan" and "Otogo-jinja Souan", and other related materials.
There is a special exhibition set up every spring and autumn by way of the Abe and Kera families, who had close ties to Ryokan. Special works are put on display for these exhibitions.
