Kannon-yama National Park
It is 472 meters above sea level, and is called Hidaki Yama (Fire Fall Mountain) by the islanders, a name derived from the fact that it is said to have been the site of a smoke tower that served as a means of communication during the heyday of the Ikuchi naval forces.
The view from the top, reached by walking up the promenade, is spectacular.
