Lake Hyoko Waterfowl Park

Lake Hyoko is famous in Japan as a destination for migratory swans.
The park initially garnered attention back in 1954 when it became the first successful wild swan feeding site in Japan, and has since been designated as a national protected habitat.
The first swans arrive in October every year, and by the peak in late November there are usually around 6,000 in the area.
During the swan season 'Mr. Swan' stops by to feed the birds 3 times a day, at 9am, 11am, and 3pm.
In addition to the winter swans, the park is also home to all kinds of flowers that bloom throughout the seasons, such as the cherry blossoms in spring, the irises in early summer, the lotuses and water lilies in mid-summer, and many more. Visitors of all ages can have a fun, relaxing times at the park all year round.
