Sazareishi Park

Sazaraishi stones are huge rocks formed by pebbles sticking together due to the liquid limestone dissolved by rainwater over a long period of time, and then exposed to the surface of the earth by the erosive action of rivers.
Sazaraishi is a symbol of Japan and is mentioned in the national anthem "Kimigayo".
Some of the stones have been presented to successive prime ministers and emperors, and are designated as natural treasures by Gifu Prefecture.
