Mt.Mimuroyama

Mt. Mimuro is 82m above sea level yielding views of the Tatsuta River, the town of Ikaruga and the Yamato Basin.
It is famous for its cherry blossoms.
It is said that when Prince Shotoku was building the Ikaruga Palace, he invited the guardian deity of Asuka to the "Kamioka Shrine" located in Mt. Mimuroyama.
At the top of Mimuroyama is the five-ring pagoda of Nouin Hoshi, known for his poem about the Tatsuta River.
