Tsukubamichi Path

The 4km-long path from the road sign in Hojo Naka-machi to Tsukuba Shrine is recognized as one of the 100 best courses in Japan and is known as the Tsukubamichi Path.
Mt. Tsukuba is located facing the "devil's gate" from Edo Castle, so it has been heavily protected as a place of prayer for the Tokugawa family since the Edo period (1603-1868).
In the Kangori district in the middle of the Tsukubamichi Path. Walking down the path, you can feel the history there as you see all the storehouses that remain standing to thise day.
