Histric Aoyama Residence

The Historic Aoyama Residence exhibits many cultural artifacts that show the life of Aoyama Tomekichi who made a fortune from herring fishing, as well as the prosperity of the area in the past.
The omoya (main building) is a luxurious building resembling a building for the rich.
Its architectural style has a whiff of the Meiji and Taisho era culture, making it an important historical monument as well.
