The Youra Peninsula features the Kawazu Cherry Blossoms.
The over 5000 cherry trees scattered along the roads usually start to bloom in early February and reach their peak around the middle of the month.
On a fine day, the pink of the cherry tress set against the clear blue sky and deep blue sea, create a very beautiful scene.
During the blossom season, the Youra Peninsula holds the Bungo Suido Kawazu Cherry Blossom Festival selling sweets and souvenirs for a limited time in the city's product halls.
