Ryumon Falls (Dragon Gate Falls)

Ryumon falls is a large waterfall with a height of about 20 meters and a width of about 65 meters, spanning over Egawa that flows into the Naka River.
Legend says that there are large snakes that live here, which became the origin of its name.
There are two caves half-way up the waterfall.
The cave with a diameter of about 4 meters is called Ogama, and the cave with a diameter of about 2 meters is called Megama.
You can view the waterfall up close from the walkway, or you can even go down to the the waterfall basin area.

The view of the waterfall that can be witnessed each season is wonderful, with the cherry blossoms in spring, fresh verdure in early summer, and colored leaves and salmon swimming upstream in autumn. You will want to visit again and again.
Frozen waters can be seen midwinter depending on the weather.
You can also see the train running above the waterfall, which is rare even in Japan.
