Yanagawa Dolls’ Festival Sagemon Meguri

To celebrate the birth of a girl and her first year of life and to pray for their continued health hina dolls are displayed during the Doll Festival.
In Yanagawa, there is a unique tradition of displaying sagemon, or hanging decorations, along with the traditional doll display.
The sagemon are now displayed all over the city from February 11 to April 3 in the Yanagawa Dolls’ Festival Sagemon Meguri.
