Hiyodorizaka Slope
Located next to Bukeyashiki Street, this old rustic pathway (komichi) is surrounded by a gorgeous bamboo grove that has remained nearly unchanged since the Edo period.
Yotsume-gaki (traditional bamboo fences), otsu-gaki (traditional bamboo blinds), and teppo-gaki (traditional gun fences) flank this gentle slope, almost creating a feeling that a samurai could appear at any moment.
