Iheya Village Museum of History and Folklore

This museum is located right in front of the port terminal.
When arriving at Iheya Island, it is recommended that you first visit the museum before making a tour of the sightseeing spots.
The museum has exhibits such as stone tools excavated from shell mounds and everyday articles that were used in the old days for things like agriculture and fishing and are now regarded as folk art.
It also has panel exhibits that provide easy-to-understand explanations of traditional events that have been handed down since times of old.
Visitors can learn in-depth about the history, culture, and lifestyle of the people living on the island.
