Hinoyama (elevation: 268m) has one of the best views in Kanmon.
To reach the summit, you can either take the expressway (free) or the ropeway (in operation from the middle of March to late November).
You can see the Hibikinada islands, Kanmon Bridge, Ganryujima Island, and Mojiko on the opposite shore from the mountain.
There are many visitors here throughout the year.
There are about a thousand trees of Somei-Yoshino and wild cherries in a wide area that entertain visitors.
Also, the design of the Turkish Tulip garden, the Orhan Suyolcu Memorial Garden, is based on the design inspired by the Bosphorus Strait and represents the friendship between Istanbul and Shimonoseki with a rainbow bridge of tulips.

【Hinoyama Park Turkish Tulip Garden】
Tulips blossoms*best seasons for viewing: from early to middle of April
The garden opened after tulip bulbs were donated by Istanbul, Turkey, a sister city.
Citizen volunteers planted forty thousand tulip bulbs, and the design inspired by the Bosphorus Strait is expressed together with violas.
