Nariwa Museum

Opening in 1953, it was the first municipal art museum in Okayama Prefecture. In 1994, it underwent its third and most recent renewal.
Designed by Tadao Ando, one of Japan's leading architects, the building’s modern concrete exterior sets off the surrounding natural scenery, and the garden has a flowing water feature created in the image of Nariwa River.

On display are paintings by Torajiro Kojima, a Western-style painter who was born in Nariwa, and ancient Egyptian relics from the collection Kojima amassed while traveling abroad.
