Ishibiyacyo Furusato Village

This museum is housed in the main building of the former Takahashi Elementary School, which hails from the days of the Meiji-era education system.
Built in 1904, the school is now a municipally designated important cultural property.

The building was carefully constructed using quality materials, its fine workmanship conveying the spirit of Meiji times.

Inside the building are displays of 3,000 artifacts including tools used in daily life, covering the Edo period through to the Showa era of the mid-20th century.
