Rainbow Fountain

The "seven-colored" fountain sits at 14.8 meters in height at Fukurou Pond on the eastern end of Chubetsu Lake.
The fountain doesn't use any electricity for its water flow, since it utilizes the differences in elevation from the water source at Taisetsu Asahidake Gensui that flows into Fukurou Pond.
The seven colors referenced in its Japanese name comes from the way the sunlight hits the water and creates a rainbow-like effect.
The rainbow effect and the way it looks changes depending on the weather, sunlight angle, wind and other seasonal factors.
Sometimes you might miss out on the rainbow colors if the timing is off, but it offers a great spot to take photos nonetheless.
