Mori Ogai Memorial Museum

Mori Ogai spent 30 years at this site until he passed away in 1922. The location was named "Kanchoro" (meaning "tide watching lookout") after the 2nd floor study that had a view of Shinagawa's waters.
Ogai finished several of his noted works at this location, including "Seinen" (Young Men) and "Gan" (The Wild Geese).
The museum has original manuscripts and letters on display, as well as the remnants of Kanchoro's main gate, and the "Sannin jogo no ishi" historical landmark.
A cafe is available on-site as well.
