Koishikawa Korakuen Gardens

As the garden of the Mito Tokugawa family's main residence, it was started by Tokugawa Yorifusa, the first daimyo of the Mito family, and it was later completed by his successor, Tokugawa Mitsukuni.
This walking-style garden with hills and ponds has Chinese-style influences all throughout it.
The name "Korakuen" is taken from Chinese poems about "Yueyang Tower", and a particular passage about finding happiness only after society as a whole has found happiness.
