Takaoka Kojo (Old Castle) Park

This is the site of Takaoka Castle, built by Lord Maeda Toshinaga.
The ruins of Takaoka Castle weathered the crisis of being sold off in the Meiji era (1868-1912) with the help of the citizens, and the water moat and earthen mounds remain as they were when the castle was built.
