Tsu castle
Enjoy a relaxing walk alongside the moat of the nicely maintained Tsu castle park.
There are two gardens, a delicate Japanese garden and a modern Western garden.
Cherry blossoms in spring, hydrangeas in early summer and then autumn leaves, all create beautiful seasonal scenes, especially in spring when the cherry blossoms contrast with the mossy stone walls.
The castle was built by Oda Nobukane and renovated by Todo Takatora, a master castle builder.
The castle features a keep, a turret, and magnificent stone walls of the Honmaru central courtyard and Nishinomaru west wing.
There is also a magnificent statue of Takatora on his horse.
