Tottori Sand Dunes

The Tottori Sand Dunes are amongst the largest in Japan, extending 16 km from east to west and 2.4 km from north to south.
Depending on the season and time of day, visitors can enjoy the varying beauty of the natural formations.
Among these, are the "wind ripples" - beautiful wave patterns crafted by the wind in the sand. Sandboarding and fat biking are also popular activities on the dunes.
