Hakuto jinja Shrine
The Hakuto jinja Shrine is dedicated to the Hakuto - white hare god - in Japanese mythology.
In the grounds of the shrine is a pond where the hare was said to have bathed.
It is reputed to be beneficial for the healing of skin diseases and wounds.
Okuninushi-no-Mikoto and the beautiful Princess Yagami were married here.
