Moribo Jinja Shrine

The shrine is consecrated to the deity of baby caring and of stopping crying at night and is affectionately known as Moribo-sama.
When Takatorii Castle, which was located at the top of Mt. Takejo, fell, the nanny hid behind the rock where the Moribo Jinja Shrine is located on her way to escape with the child of Sugi, who was an officer of the law enforcement agency and was the lord of the castle.
However, the baby started to cry, which gave them away, and they were discovered by the enemy.
A legend originated at that time that says that she vowed to be a friend to the crying children of the world and keep protecting them even if she was killed.
The festival is held every year on the third Sunday in April.
At this festival, people bring their children to visit the shrine, borrow dolls, and dedicate the borrowed dolls and newly purchased dolls a year later, praying for their children's healthy growth.
