Japan Women's University Naruse Memorial Hall

The Naruse Memorial Hall was originally built in 1906 as the "Toyoake Library and Auditorium".
It's an authentic Western-style building designed by Japanese craftsmen, and although it was severely damaged by the Great Kanto Earthquake, it was rebuilt the following year with only the interior work remaining.
It was later named the "Naruse Memorial Auditorium" in honor of the founder of Japan Women's University, Naruse Jinzo. The hall's stage contains a bust of Naruse Jinzo sculpted by Kotaro Takamura, one of Japan's most famous sculptors.
