Motochika Chosokabe Statue of the first battle
"Motochika Chosokabe Statue of the first team" was erected in 1999 to commemorate the 400th anniversary of the death of Mototika Chosokabe, by the "Ichiryo Gusoku-kai", a cross-industrial group in the Kounan area, which was formed to promote regional development.
The statue represents Motochika's first battle at the age of 22.
His left hand, outstretched in front of him, is shaped as if he is about to grasp the Shikoku island that lies beneath his feet.
