Tomb of Nobuchika Chosokabe
This is the grave of Nobuchika, born in 1565 and eldest son of Motochika Chosokabe, who was killed at the battle of Toji River in 1586.
Nobuchika was killed during the battle of Hetsugawa, after his command line was cut off by the onslaught of Satsuma forces leaving him alone in the middle of the melee with no news of his father Motochika.
Nobuchika was buried at the family temple of Tenpoji and is now revered at the Sekkeiji temple.
