A place with Buddha's remains

This stupa enshrines the remains of Shakyamuni (Buddha's ashes).
In April 1954, this stupa was presented by the first Prime Minister of India Jawaharlal Nehru with wishes of peace for Japan.
Construction began in August 1959, and the Sendai Stupa was completed in May 1974 after 15 years of work.
The Indian script on the lower right of the stairs is a vow signed by Prime Minister Nehru, and on the left is the calligraphy of FUJII Nichidatsu Shonin (revered priest), the founder of Nipponzan Myohoji Temple.
By walking clockwise around the corridor, you can worship the four statues of Buddha.
The pagoda is also a recreational area for citizens with restrooms and playground equipment nearby.
It's open to everyone regardless of religious sect.
