Karou no Yu (Karou Hot Spring)
Located at the foot of Mt. Karou, this is a historical lodging and bathing facility dating back to the early Meiji era.
The large stone open-air baths, which are also open for day-trip bathing, offer a panoramic view of the vast expanse of the Pacific Ocean and Hamadori, including Shinchi Town.
After climbing the mountain, visitors can relax their tired bodies and minds in the spacious and atmospheric baths.
Homemade soba (buckwheat) noodles served at the Donguri restaurant, located within the facilities of Karou no Yu, are exquisite.
Visitors can also enjoy a soba noodle-making experience (advance reservation required).
