Muramatsu-san Kokuzo-doh Temple

It is said to have been built by Kobo Daishi in 807 (Daido 2).
The principle deity of the temple, Kokuzo Bosatsu, has been worshipped since ancient times, and today as one of three in Japan, it welcomes worshippers who come to pray for academic success, family harmony, warding off evil, shichigosan, or success in life.
On the northern side there is a monument to Muramatsu Seiran, one of Mito's hakkeis.
