Town of "Eleven Hungry Cats"
Sannohe Town is putting its efforts into its urban planning, making use of the masterpiece of local manga artist Noboru Baba, called "Eleven Hungry Cats".
You will find characters that appear in the book all around town.
On stone statues, storefronts, postboxes, and manholes, etc.
There are also fully designed buses and trains.
In 2012, stone statues featuring characters from eleven cats were built, and as of March 2020, a collection of 11 has been completed.
This truly is a sacred spot for fans of the manga.
