Lake Shirakawa Submerged Forest

This scenery can only be enjoyed for only about one month from April to mid-May.
When Shirakawa Lake is full of water from the early spring snow melt, you can see the magical spring scenery of white willow trees as if they are growing out of the water.
Visiting in the early morning when it is shrouded in a spring haze is especially recommended, but on a clear day, viewing the submerged forest against the backdrop of the snow-capped white mountains of Iide, fresh greenery, and cherry blossoms is also fascinating.
