Gifu Kakamigahara Air and Space Museum

This is the only museum in Japan specializing in both aviation and space exhibits.

【Space area】
Various exhibitions and videos introduce the challenges of human space exploration, as well as cutting-edge space development, including the Japanese Experiment Module "Kibo" of the International Space Station (ISS), the Japanese asteroid probe "Hayabusa2", and a full-scale model of the U.S. Mars rover "Curiosity".

【Aviation area】 Exhibitions tell stories about the history and challenges of mankind's attempts to take to the skies. There are also many pieces of original equipment and exhibits that can only be seen at this museum.
Visitors can experience piloting a life-size model of the Wright Flyer, the Wright Brothers' first plane, and a full-scale replica of the Japanese Zero Fighter, as well as other simulators for passenger planes and small jets.
