Kiso River Ukai Fishing Tour

Watch "Cormorant fishing", a 1,300-year-old traditional fishing method, from a spectator boat. Cormorant fishing is a traditional fishing method in which master cormorant fishermen on boats train cormorant birds to catch river fish.
Each cormorant boat is manned by a cormorant master and a boatman.
The master skillfully maneuvers 12 cormorants, which catch river fish such as sweetfish.
