The Sesond Cavern

It is located about 7-8 minutes walk from Nakatsumiya Shrine.
You can see the sunken ceiling of a large sea cave, which, when viewed from above, is distorted like a gourd and looks just like a mountain divided into two parts.
The geological layers formed over a long period of time, one about 40,000 years old and the other as far back as 16.5 million years old, can be seen on the ocean side of the mountain and on the Samuel Cocking Garden side of Enoshima Island, respectively.
You can also see Sagami Bay from the carved mountains and enjoy the unique scenery.
