Kishiwada Tenjingu Shrine

Around 1362 (Shohei Year 17), the mayor of Numa village (present-day Numa-cho, Sujikai-cho, Namimatsu-cho) was a man of deep filial devotion.
His father was ill and bedridden for a long time, and tried everything to get well, but without success.
He went to pray at Yasaka Shrine in Yamashiro province, which he held his faith in, for three days.
Here, he felt some spiritual inspiration and returned home to find that his father had a complete recovery.
The mayor then announced these divine virtues, and a shrine was constructed within his residence (the current location today).
The origins of this shrin then began when a separated deity of Yasaka Shrine (Hayasuzano-no-mikoto) was invited and enshrined here.
