The Seven Multi-Deity Stone Buddhist Images of the Eastern Region

A total of seven multi-deity stone Buddhist images unique to this region have been confirmed in Toyono.
They're found in Yono, Kirihata, Kishiro, and Kawashiri.
Moreover, the construction period was concentrated in the short period of 1564–1580.
Outside of Toyono we know of multi-deity stone Buddhist images and natural stone Buddhist carvings in Tenno, Kyotanabe, and Tsukigasemomogano, Nara.
Their shapes are similar to the multi-deity stone Buddhist images in Toyono.
Their construction period is almost exactly the same: 1563 (Eiroku 6) to 1590 (Tensho 18).

There seems to be an enigma that can't be explained by a belief in the gyakushu alone (gyakushu means to hold a memorial service for oneself while still alive).
These are multi-deity stone Buddhist images that will expand your thinking as you investigate them, including the ones outside Toyono.
Here we introduce you to the multi-deity stone Buddhist images and natural stone Buddha carvings of the Kirihata area.
