Toyono Town Folk Museum

This building, which was built in 1936 (Showa 11) as an elementary school auditorium, was reborn in 1987 (Showa 62) as a town folk museum for "learning from the wisdom, ingenuity, and craftsmanship of our predecessors."
As a place for school education, household tools, stonework (photo exhibits), agar utensils (which were one of the local industries), archaeological records, relics, and more are all on display here. And for visitors it's a treasure chest of Toyono culture full of reminiscence and surprises.

You can also experience the wisdom and ingenuity of the craftsmen by trying out their well-maintained tools.
They also hold exhibits associated with seasonal events such as the Hina doll festival.
Listen to the explanations, see, touch ... come take a peek into the treasure chest.
