GREENable HIRUZEN
Maniwa and Hankyu Hanshin Department Stores, aims to promote a lifestyle of coexistence between people and nature across the world.
GREENable HIRUZEN is a facility designed by Kengo Kuma, utilizing cross laminated timber (CLT) made from the timber of Maniwa City.
The facility consists of a visitor center/shop, the Maniwa City Hiruzen Museum, a cycling center, and the CLT Pavilion "Leaf on the Wind".
It offers sustainable goods for sale, disseminates information about tourism and culture, and provides experiential programs.
※ The CLT Pavilion "Leaf on the Wind" is illuminated from sunset until 20:00 on Fridays and Saturdays.
※ During the winter months (December - March), the cycling center is closed and the tourist information center is relocated near the entrance of the premises. Note that the manhole cards distributed at the cycling center are available at the tourist information center.
